The parts of software that have to last — data models, APIs, and the reliability work behind every feature.
I'm Alfin, a fullstack developer who likes the parts of software that have to survive the next two years.
Most of my work lives at the boundary between a clean API and a reliable database. I've shipped features, debugged production incidents, and handled frontend migrations — and I genuinely enjoy the unglamorous parts: error handling, observability, and data models that don't fall over under load.
On repeat
Focused on backend reliability and report automation for an internal enterprise app within a microservices architecture. Cut report generation time by ~93% with an async Redis queue and Laravel Queue Workers architecture for MongoDB caching, and reduced dev time for new report types from 1–2 days to a few hours by replacing hardcoded logic with reusable Word templates (PHPWord + OpenTBS). Led a phased frontend migration from monolithic Laravel to React for partial re-renders instead of full page reloads, integrated SonarQube into the Jenkins CI/CD pipeline for ISO 9001-aligned code quality, and built a real-time Log Performance Monitoring Dashboard with React, Node.js, and MongoDB aggregation.
Built an Inventory Management App with CodeIgniter that improved data handling efficiency by 15%, and a real-time Machine Report Application that reduced machine downtime by 10%.
A pragmatic set, chosen for reliability and maintainability over hype.
A mix of open-source utilities and full applications I've shipped.
Indonesia's most efficient leave & long-weekend planner — calculates the best combination of leave days from official SKB 3 Menteri (joint ministerial decree) data using a bridge-finder algorithm, rendered 100% statically and filtered per user date entirely client-side.
A lightweight, type-safe TypeScript utility for standardizing API responses across Express, Fastify and Node.js apps.
A school fee payment web app built for a final-year vocational project, with student and transaction management.
